View Full Version : Configuring Avast 4.8 free Antivirus

I prefer to scan my PC when I go to bed but if Avast finds a threat it stops scanning and waits for you to select an action. As I have 200+GB to scan, it takes a while.

Can Avast 4.8 free be configured so that it will scan and log threats so that the threats could be dealt with later?
Please explain how.

TIA

The free one has less options for configuring, but have a look through the menu and see if Action can be altered, you could just set it to quarantine.

Thanks pctek
Sorry for the delay in replying.
Avast free is very limited.
I'm going to have to think of another way, may be get the Avast pro version.

Many Thanks

Great question.
I use Avast free also.
But I find that I don't need to scan the whole drive as often as I did with AVG.

If you are going to pay for an antivirus then get NOD32 AV.
Far better than Avast.

Not the security suite, just the AV.

Avast! doesn't support that unfortunately.

Well the free version doesn't anyways
