View Full Version : Windows 7 Minimise windows

Hi all,

I am trying to find a shortcut/ mouse click to minimise all firefox windows to their icon in the taskbar. Not all windows, just say if i have firefox and a downthemall window, and want to minimise both, while leaving my word window open (for example).

It seemed to me like it would be straightforward, then I realised that previously each window had its own button anyway.

And also of course the reverse. Opening all the firefox windows that are stacked in the icon minimised.

I can get the same functionality using shift>>right click on a taskbar icon, just wondering if anyone had found a quicker way.

Anyone come across this?

Thats fine for firefox, but I only really meant it as an example. I was looking for a windows shortcut for any program. Just with all the shortcuts and key combos 7 does have I thought it would be there.

Windows + D shows the desktop on any OS, not just 7, and isn't app-specific.

PC World have had a workaround for this: open a dialogue box (just press Ctrl+P :)), then press Windows + M (minimize).

Windows key + M will minimize all open windows to the task bar , but wont leave Word for example visible.

Dont know if This here (http://www.morun.net/www/support/help/hidemybrowserfree/Using/HideMyBrowserFreeGuide.html) works, or is any good - never tried it.

Its similar to the hide the porn sites quick :xmouth: OPPS slip of the Tongue there  that Blam linked to.
