Users on my network have their data saved in folder on an NT 4.0 Server. It appears that when a connection to the server is lost the My Data folder (renamed my documents) is remapped to the local hard drive and a My Documents folder is created in the users Profile. We use Roaming profiles. Any ideas in regards to keeping the folder mapped to the correct spot?

Why did you use My Documents?

Easier - and more practical - would be to set home directories in each profile. Also change the default folder locations in the appz to point to the shared directories location instead of My Documents.

You may wish to get Quota Manager for limiting user diectory sizes.

Still - upgrading to Windows 2000 could be best.
