Have a look under Format, cell, Date

there is no such an option in Format --> Cell (http://javascript%3cb%3e%3c/b%3E:void%280%29) --> "Number" tab (http://javascript%3cb%3e%3c/b%3E:void%280%29) --> Type

The correct order should be Format --> Cell (http://javascript%3cb%3e%3c/b%3E:void%280%29) --> "Number" tab (http://javascript%3cb%3e%3c/b%3E:void%280%29) --> Date --> Type

If you have Windows regional settings correct (control panel) it will be automatically dd/mm/yy type format
