Hi guys and thanks for all the helpful info on my last two threads. I now have a new one and would appreciate and info on this. I have used Comodo Internet Security, now version 3.8.65951.477, for sometime. I have not, as far as I know, had any problems with it. The last few days it has started to pick some malware, whatever that is. I see now that Avira (AntiVir 9.0) has a new version out and from what I've read says it has added rootkit scanning. Again, what every that is.Any advise is always welcomed. Please keep is simple as I am, somewhat, technophobic... :banana As you can see by the banana.

Comodo AV is pretty new. Its probably buggy , since it maybe a beta version

So, I wouldnt use it

Malware can be viruses / trojans / spyware. It depends what it said, when it detected whatever malware

Roootkits can be nasty. Whatever it is, can hide and some rootkits are "cloaked"

So, nothing can detect it

Viruses - NOD32
Spyware - Spybot, Malware Bytes, Counterspy

I'm using;
Anti-Virus - Avira
Firewall - Online Armor
Spyware and other stuff - Spybot S&D, Spyware Dr, Trojan Remover, Rogue Remover, C Cleaner.

They seem to all work together with no problems.
