When XP crashed I restored the Drive C disk image and it went ok for a few hours and then froze. Restored the image again and the same sort of thing. Had done the anti virus and spyware checks and it was clean. Any suggestions?

The image is probably corrupted or something

If it crashed twice. Is this the same computer youre going to install SP3 on?

Have you tried doing a repair install?

Also, try looking in the event log and see if that tells you anything.

Also-could be a buggy driver, check device manager and see if there are any exclaimation marks/question marks

Thanks guys! I checked the Log and found that the screensaver My Pictures had crashed it. I opted for no screensaver and cleared unused programs. Since then there has been no trouble. Made another drive image just in case.
