Hi guys i installed fallout 3 ages ago and i'm wanting to run it on windows 7 but its asking for my cd-key. my cd-key however is gone along with my case. I keep all my CD's in a CD wallet and all my boxes empty for display.. cant find fallout 3 box...
How do i recover my cd key from vista registry and use it in Windows 7?

Well login to the vista pc must be there somewhere. Or load the game it may show it.
Altho, you'll probably have to remove the game off Vista, since I doubt it'll let you use the key on 2 computers
Or go into the registry on Vista, go through the programs there and see if the key is there (and readable)

Give Belarc Advisor a go (http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html)
Just read the following from another forum someone else with teh same problem
Fallout 3 doesn't have a cd key, although it does have a Live access key
Another solution - This forum (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/fallout3/show_msgs.php?topic_id=m-1-47354196&pid=918428) look for the post by magus57

ok ive made a discovery! there are no Games For Windows LIVE games stored in the registry!
GTA IV, Gears of War and Fallout 3 are not even located in there!
EDIT: belarc advisor didn't show any of the games for windows LIVE titles either. Thos 3 are the only LIVE titles i have
