Hi,

In my talkbar i have a little red sheild with an 'X' on it. It says my automatic updates are turned off. When i access the updates box via control panel it says they are on.

Is there anyone that can help me with this.

Much apreciated,
Ollie

Its\ may be a rogue program telling you that your automatic updates are off, download Trojan Remover, update, and do a scan.

Or-do a print screen of it and post it here, by clicking "Manage Attachments" and uploading the screenshot

This sounds like a virus.

Download MalwareBytesAntiMalware from here, install, update and do a full scan.

That would help-but finish the scan first, copy an paste the log here, and we'll go from there.

We'll also be able to remove some crap off startup from that HijackThis log
