I went to buy a seagate sataII hdd and I discover that they have model or code suffixes. I need it for a home based XP machine use for web browsing, gaming & Msoft office etc. Can someone please advise me.
Codes are ncq, sas, sv35 3series, es, es2, 10 ,11. 1.5TB.

Using google I found:

ncq is: "native command queuing"
http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/N/Native_Command_Queuing.html

The 10 & 11 look to be random read seek time (performance indicator)

Sas... is serial attached scsi

This the PC shop page I am looking at:
http://www.einfo.co.nz/shop/index.php?cPath=5_11_81

It would appear that the NCQ is the one to go for, please help demystify it for me, many thanks.

P.S. this is a great forum, simply awesome!
