Hey i have a Compaq iPAQ Desktop PC (http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~pb22/iPAQ/10638_na.html) that I want to reinstall.
What would be the best and easiest way to do it?
Want to stick xp pro on it.

Boot from the XP cd, and install it

Only thing is, you'll probably have to find the drivers for it after

Thats probably the only way you're going to install it.

Unless that PC has a restore partition on it. But its probably not XP Pro

Did you look at the link to the specs for it Speedy?
It has no cd drive and no floppy

Guess you'll have to buy a cd for it then

Not much you can do without one

Hopefully it can take one

What version of windows is on it and how much ram is in it

If i do install it with an external will it still read from it after it restarts and starts copying the files from the cd?

Might, depends if the BIOS supports booting from an external cd, or cd

It was made for Win 2000 according to that site

Should still work, with XP if its got enough ram

I thought this Laptop PCuser gave to me in here, wouldnt work with XP (It had 98 on it, but nothing on it,when he gave to me).

2k was a bit flimsy, I was surprised XP works on it with only 96mb lol
