View Full Version : Are Phenom II 940 and Asus M3A78-EM AM2+ compatible?

Hi

I am planning to build a PC and bought this since Phenom 2 goes with AM2+. Since I am not that knowledgeable about PC, now I got paranoid whether Phenom II is compatible with this particular model. Anyone knows?

Yes, it will work fine. That board will also support the incoming AM3 CPUs. (Will probably need a BIOS update to do so though)
