I have called Microsoft, and they say you can order it by by phone.

But I forgot to ask if you could buy it from Microsoft.

can we???

Thats what they're doing. Last time I asked (2007) they wanted $50 for the disk.

Since now XP is no longer available, you'll have to download one off the net (but most of them come pre-cracked)

Just because Microsoft stopped supplying it doesn't mean that shops don't sell it. ;)

Yes, if manufacturers had stocked up a lot of XPs they can continue selling it.
And it'll be sold with netbooks etc.

Read the Microsoft Policy. Its REALLY complicated...:p

If you already have your COA then you could just get a copy of an XP CD from a friend. So long as you use your OWN licence key

The CD isn't important. Your COA sticker is.

Copy a friend or relatives CD - making sure its the same type as your O/S. Ie XP Home OEM vs XP Home Retail and so on.........

Then install using your COA.
