I have Windows Vista
I want to make a Batch File to copy a folder called n in the current directory to the windows directory.
This of course requires special privileges. Is there a way to do this? if so how?
:banana:banana

You can use Xcopy and use /s or /e parameters
Why not just use synctoy?

may not be all that helpful but in xp I would have used the xcopy command. To check in vista open a command window and type xcopy /? - if it's still part of windows it will give you a help screen with all the switches. A bit of reading and you should be able to figure it out.

would be something along the lines of
xcopy c:\testdir c:\windows\testdir /E

but I may well have the syntax wrong. google xcopy and you should find all you need
