View Full Version : Widows Explorer Crashes

05-06-2001, 02:20 PM
I have frequent crashes of Windows Explorer.
Nortons Crashguard usually clears it but only for a wee while.

I would appreciate any comments as it's a pain in the butt - reboot appears the only way to clear for a reasonable length of time - then crash again!
Below is screen dump of error message

Thanks
Grant

Your kernel32.dll is corrupted. Replace it with another one - from your setup disk or from the Net. Very common problem.

Crashguard could also be the problem. This utility caused so many problems that as far as I'm aware is no longer included as part of systemworks. The following link explains how to disable it & some more info: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/crashguard.nsf/160501e16d626124882566c20071b340/5bdaaca10329f57e88256827000005ad?OpenDocument
