Please give me some suggestions for sites that offer a good range of contemporary music for purchase and download... I'm looking for DRM-free mp3's, kiwi and international bands, and a decent price!

So what do people use??? Thanks!

Amazon.com has a huge range of free mp3 downloads. I dont have the exact
link but if you hunt around you'll find them.

To be honest I just use iTunes - Though the iPhone probably plays a large part in my choice.

Yes some of it has restrictions, but not enough restrictions for me to worry about :)

Run by vodafone, this site has drm free mp3's that are legal, and I think you may be able to download a copy to your 3g mobile, the only catch is that the only way you can pay is with your vodafone mobile account (either pre-pay or on account)
Singles are $1.99
Albums are $17.99

Digirama (http://www.digirama.co.nz/), which requires you to install its proprietary downloader. I also use iTunes, and have used Vodafone's (awful!) service a couple of times.

Digirama is the only one I have used so far.

I've had several problems with Vodafone. I bought an album and it took two days before I could download it (it kept giving server errors), then it finally crawled down at less than 50 KB/s. I contacted support for an unrelated issue and waited 12 days for an unhelpful response. I now have a non-music-related issue in the Vodafone queue and have so far been waiting nine days for a reply.

Thanks all - I got onto the Digirama bandwagon yesterday as they seem to be priced the best... a bit surprised I needed to download proprietary software to do it, but it did the job without any annoying side-effects :)
