New one costs $167, however for that price you can get the next generation 9600GT which is around twice as fast.....if you only need the card for 2d applications and are not gaming then its ok....

what is the resolution of your monitor, that plays a big part in deciding what card to buy!

Even at that low resolution the 8600GT is going to struggle with Oblivion and The Witcher at highest detail, having both games and played them through. A secondary rig I have here has a 8600GT in it, and I can 100% safely say its not a gaming card.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and spend the extra on a 9600GT that can be picked up for around $170 if you shop around. $95 is a lot of money to spend on disappointment.
