i have problem with my computers during games, with minimum system requirements which includes a direct 3d support.

but unfortunately i can't afford to buy one my computer came in with a built-in adapter and if so ever i would have bought a video card, do i have to change the motherboard?

Even if your motherboard has on-board graphics you should still be able to fit an additional Video card.

When fitting a new video card, the on-board graphics should be automatically disabled by the BIOS, but you may have to do it manually.

Before purchsing a new card, you will need to visually confirm that there are free slots on your board and what type they are (ie. PCI or AGP).
