I am having a big problem with general protection faults on my computer. They are all coming from different programs and different memory locations. They happen seamingly randomly and I have no way of telling when they will strike. I have reinstalled windows and most of my software but they still happen. Any ideas?

Hello Daniel

I would suspect your Ram could be at fault, try swapping with a known good module and see if the probs go away, or if you do not wish to fiddle around inside your case try this ram testing utility and see what it finds >>

make sure you get the correct version for your operating system.

From what you have described, the prime suspects would have be either the CPU or RAM. If the problem is occuring after the computer has been running for a while, I would check the CPU is not overheating.

Daniel,
I had the exact same problem just recently but also had the registry problem window popping up as well.
Worked out to be faulty RAM.
Once replaced I have not had a single error.
