You'll have to get a cd from somewhere. To fix it. Or buy another version of Windows, and reinstall Windows

Are you in NZ William, or somewhere else?

I have a feeling this error message can come up when there is a problem in the boot.ini file. Have you been playing with that?

Quite likely there is nothing wrong with the hal.dll file.

Yup it can happen, if there's something thats not meant to be in the boot.ini file

You could try connecting it to a working system, and check the boot.ini file
