Does that message show up before Window loads or right after POST?

Though if you are given an option to select a boot device, just select your HDD that has windows installed then windows should load.

Yup sounds like it trying to boot from a floppy, or a cd with nothing on it

Or maybe the card reader, if its got one, and there's nothing there

Go into the BIOS and change the bootdisk to the hard drive

Remove any floppies or cd's

The hdd in it is probably dead then. Or its not in properly, if it can be removed

If it can be removed take it out, then slot it back in

See what the boot disk in the BIOS to set to (if its set to the hdd)

...My hdd is stuffed..took it in this mrng for a second opinion, lucky my back ups are upto date :-)...no real warning about it really...maybe just an unusual buzzing noise from time to time just lately. Thanks for your help
