Hi, I've a question to those that may be able to help me. We have 1 ADSL line with Orcon at the moment but it is shared with 8 people. some of them do BT and emul so that put the rest of us in a very slow web sufing and skype calls.

Can we have 2 ADSL lines into the house like install a second line or something like that. It would be even better if we can have internet only without the monthly call charges (Unbundled Loop).

Thanks in advance

Have as many lines as you want, it will cost of course in line rental, possible installation of another line, and another account.

You would have to get another physical phone line installed into the house and get the second adsl connection setup on that line. You can't have two connections on the same line.
You could have a look at wireless broadband options depending where in NZ you are.

Thanks guys. So I can have a second ADSL connected to the second line. Does anyone know if I can go with two ADSL providers as well.

I've checked with Woosh Wireless but its too slow for 4 of us who wants to be on the second line. Have to be ADSL.

does anyone know who offers naked DSL as I might be able to get a second line without a phone number attached. Thanks

It looks like Kiwilink does (http://www.kiwilink.co.nz/broadband/naked-dsl.php)

Xnet (http://www.xnet.co.nz/fusion/)

Orcon (http://www.orcon.net.nz/orconathome/)

And probably Telecom
