I'm running windows 2000 advanced server with 3 computers networked to it running 98. They share my modem to connect to the internet. My problem is that my server always answers the phone if someone calls in so I have to manually unplug it all the time which is a huge pain. Is there any way of preventing the server from answering the phone so anyone can access the internet without coming over to my computer to plug the phone line back in????

I think that your problem is being caused by you having an incoming connections in your 'Network and Dial-up Connections'. I would estimate that it is set for your modem which is why it answers the phone for you.
To fix this problem, go to the control panel, open the 'Network and Dial-up Connections' section and remove the incoming connections.
P.S. Don't do this if you want to access your computers by dial up.
