So, is it just me has Xnet disappeared from the face of the internet? :(

I can't connect to my internet service, I can't call their help line, hell, I can't even look at their website. Such a great service, sigh.

internet and emails back here but homepage still down.

according to somone on geekzone "WxC had a UPS failure and due to the nature of the failure are getting everything checked out by a sparky before bringing it back online or something to that effect. "

must have been something big to take down ph & net.

Your email/webmail login is username@xnet.co.nz.

Your ADSL connection login is username@adsl.xnet.co.nz

Yup, Xnet went down 1.35, and I just got back on at 5.11. Email doesnt work tho (edit: now email works)

Xnet need to fix their dialup. Since if ADSL goes down so do their phones and so does dialup. (it couldnt authenticate)

By the looks of it, they had an authentication issue.

They also need to fix their crap usage monitor. Right mouse on it to do anything, it freezes.

Yes, back on again now but OE wants to know my username and password! I'm on fusion so looks like OE settings are screwed. Will phone xnet tomorrow.

It'll be their server for email. Not your OE

Mine wouldnt work but it does now (the email)

Give it a few mins, it should work

This has now appeared on the Xnet website:

Network Status Report....

This area details any issues that are currently present on the network:

Type: unscheduled

Subject: Power Outage

Begin: 2008-09-07 13:25:00

End: No ETA
Body:

There was a major power problem with the supply to the Auckland Exchange at 13.28 this afternoon and emergency services were called , the building was required to be evacuated and due to the emergency services being on site we also needed to confirm that the power facilities were determined to be in a safe condition before service restoration procedures could begin.

The majority of Services were restored at 15:00, work is ongoing to restore the remaining services.
