I might have been a bit rash. I just bought a Radeon HD4850 PCI-E card after reading the PC World review, and only after the event have discovered that the recommended power supply is at least 450w. My power supply is a Zalman ZM400B 400w unit. Does this mean I am snookered, or will I only have a problem if I am really pushing the video card? I also have to get a power connector adapter, but that's another story.

What's the rest of the system?

ASUS M2N-MX mobo, Athlon 64X2 4400+, 4gB RAM, 2 x 250gB Seagate Barracuda HDD, ASUS DVD-RW drive. Win Vista Business.

I think that just about covers it.

Get another PSU.

Get another PSU.Clearly that's an option - but is it unavoidable?

If I do need to get another PSU, any recommendations? Quiet is a high requirement for me.
