Welcome to PressF1 Leslie.

A bit more info would be useful, What operating system you're running, your PC specs, what programs (if any) you're running when this is happening.

Is it a wireless keyboard and mouse?

No Speedy, mouse and keyboard have wires that go into the back of the PC

So it's freezing when Internet Explorer (Or your preferred web browser) is open?

Try updating Adobe Flash Player from www.adobe.com

Click on the link that says 'Get Adobe Flash Player'.

If it happens again, post a HijackThis (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis) log.
