Hi, Even I am having the same problem. I want to reinstall my windows XP pro by formatting only C:\ which is a NTFS partition. I don't want to touch any other drives in the same HDD. don't know how to do this? any one please help.

Welcome to PressF1 :)

I have moved your post from the very old thread you posted in it as you are more likely to receive help that way.

For reference, this is the original thread (http://pressf1.co.nz/showthread.php?t=35160)

Welcome to PF1 - its actually quite easy, boot from the XP Pro CD, agree to the license etc, and follow the prompts through - when it looks for any current install it will show the current C: drive as well as any other drives/Partitions on the drive.

Make sure you select the C: drive, select the keys it tells you - you will get a couple of warning to say it will delete any data on C: - agree and it will format and install windows on C: leaving the other drives intact.

Yes as Wainui said very simple to do as long as you check each screen carefully at each stage

DON'T delete the partition. Just format it.
