Friend just asked this,

they have a PC for their kids and both are on limited accounts he is the admin, they share the music, docs and video folders but the boy keeps deleting stuff he sister puts there and vice versa. Is there a way to stop them from being able to delete files? Done a google and can't find anything yet.

Thanks

Not that simple, but here's what is probably as good as you'll get.

What's the OS?

If they're deleting each others stuff why not just give them separate locations for "My Document" then chose to make them private in the sharing tab of My Documents Properties, if there's stuff both want to access use "shared documents" location.

Create two seperate Accounts, passworded. Have seperate Folders that only the one can get into. PJ

I guess he meant users not OS's it's OK I detached the crystal ball from the dash of our car you need it in Nelson to know what other drivers are doing...

Now that I think that would make sense, shouldn't have worked all weekend brains half asleep. :sleep

Sounds like most Auckland drivers would fit right in down there. :) How many you want?
