Hi,

which is the best way or software to stop other people read our IP address?
One of my friends said me that Zone Alarm has that feature. But I am using Avast Antivirus and don't want to install Zone Alarm because it is not required for me other than for hiding IP address.
I am using Windows Vista on my PC.

Now, if I block my IP address with some software, can any possible software installed on my PC, send IP address or any other kind of my PC's identification over the internet?

Thanks,

Trev

I could be wrong here, but as far as I know there is no such thing to stop other people from seeing your IP address. I think if you could you would be restricting yourself to alot of sites on the internet as some require to know your ip address.

What Safari said.
It is impossible to hide your IP address; even if you used a proxy server, they would know the IP address of the proxy server.

Zonealarm is a firewall, Avast is antivirus, they aren't replacements for each other.

And yes, any software on your PC can send out any information it wants to any PC in the world, unless you use a firewall to block the outgoing information.
