Curently we are using MYOB 2003, which is a pain in the butt. If we could have something like MYOB Lite that would be great.

The Boss needs to be able to quickly check Creditor & Debitor balances, Stock levels and Bank Balances. the Boss isint that Pc literate.

Id like somethig easier to enter Purchaes, Sales and reconsile Bank Statements, without the intracacies of Creating an Order for every purchase or sale.

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Have you tried Xero
http://www.xero.com/overview/

It's made locally and was started up by Rod Drury and does everything that you are looking for.

tRY CASHBOOK COMPLETE. It is NZ and easy to set up and use. Not expensive either and you can try it for free. Lots of support as well. You can find out more and download from
www.acclaimsoftware.com. Best and easiest to use accounting software I have ever used.

It might be a bit of a long way around but you could probably use FileMaker Pro for that?

there is also this

Cashbook Complete has the ability to do basic stock levels. I use it to keep track of the cable I sell so I know i am measuring rough enough!

without the intracacies of Creating an Order for every purchase or sale.

Why would you do create orders every time? Regardless of which system you you, your boss will need to do more than just look at the computer to see balances. What does he do now? Sounds like you are making things hard for yourself.
