I installed ZoneALarm (Free version) in new my DELL Notebook.

So of course, I am now being asked to pass judgement on a torrent of alerts and to Allow or Deny them.

I am currently puzzled by "SuperSoft Agent Service which is trying to access the Internet."

When I Google sprtsvc.exe I get many hits - none of which make it clear what it does or whether to Allow or Deny.

Worse, some of the hits (like one on www.UniBlue.com), say things like .. .

"Determining whether sprtsvc.exe is a virus or a legitimate Windows process depends on the directory location it executes or runs from. Click here to scan your PC including sprtsvc.exe to detect any security threat."
'
Can I trust this site's advice and scan' or am I about to get sucked in?

:thanks

Dont put your email here, you'll get spammed to death

Its better to come back here to see who replies with what, and post your replies in here

WHAT version of windows is it (sprtsvc.exe isnt part of XP)

And WHERE exactly is it (what folder is sprtsvc.exe in)??

I would also get hijackthis in my sig below. Install it run it then click on scan the system and save a log.

Once it saves the log in notepad select all of the text / copy and paste it back here

It appears to be a Dell support service program so wouldn't be dangerous. You could tell ZA to deny outgoing traffic, though. See if it complains!

Somehow, I think he's waiting for an email, he's never going to get.
