Hi all,

Got a PC here that's started showing acpController.dll as a security risk on Symantec Client Security (stupid corporate IT policies! :groan: )

It's not specifically finding an infection, but is flagging it as a riskware called eGatherer.

Has anyone come across this before? I'm tempted to just patch the system, and leave it. . . . .??

If you have a read of This site here (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-54588)that file is related to Access Support fix packs, there is a known issue so I read, may pay to update to Pack3 ( on that site.)

Trust Symantec / Nortons eh!
Access Support fix pack 3 also addresses an issue where Symantec's Norton Anti Virus may identify and flag associated files. To avoid continuing to get Norton AntiVirus notifications, please install fix pack 3.
