Hey all, I'm runing xp and want to upgrade to vista ultimate but don't know which version will suit me (32bit or 64bit).

My specs are:
Intel core 2 duo t5600
Nvidia Geforce 7600
1 GB Memory

Is the motherboard 64 bit?? If it isnt get the 32 bit version

Depends on whether you want to spend more to get the 64 bit version, and what you want to use it for.

Get 2GB of RAM at least, it's cheap these days. 1GB will work, but it will be slow. ;)

The processor does support 64bit OSes, but with only 1GB of RAM it wouldn't be worth it. 64bit is only of value if you have some 64bit app that requires > 4GB of memory.

Get another 1GB of RAM and use the 32bit version, it should be fine.

Well depends if u use a 64 bit and mobo and programs that support 64 bit.

Then it (the programs) not vista may do things faster
