Hi

Great little free program for getting rid of the pre-installed bloatware in Windows Xp. It's called, surprising enough, PC Decrapifier (http://pcdecrapifier.com/download).

Yep. Just install it after spending some time downloading on your Ihug connection.

Of course that will solve all your problems.

Why not try painting red stripes on the sides of your case?
The system will go faster that way!

If you have a look back a few issues ago, I think it was PC World that had a few other programs as well as that one to"clean up / Speed up " your PC.

Can't remember exactly which Issue - its buried in amongst all the other mags someplace. - Had a tidy up, now cant find a damn thing - Moral there I think ;)

You don't need yet another program to do that. you can do it manually. In fact I do.

Speaking of bloatware, bloody Sony and their Vaio TZ2000 and TZ2500 laptops (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/22/AR2008032201042.html)

Bloatware (Trial of MS office, MS Works, Trial of Paintshop Pro, Vaio Creation Suite Photo, WinDVD, QuickBooks Simple Start (for 20 customers - whoopee)! came installed on the above.

Then Sony expected you to pay 50 bucks for them to remove it. You had to pay an extra $100 to upgrade to Vista Business (From Vista Home premium, first).
