Has anyone come across true naked ADSL yet?

With the new vodafone homeline it is very tempting to drop the wired phone line, but then the ADSL would go as well.

Perhaps it is time PCW asked some hard questions of the powers that be when true naked ADSL is coming and why it is not here now?

Xnet and slingshot both offer this service. Possibly others, but these are the two I know of.

No it is not true naked ADSL as both those plans require you to have VOIP phone account.

Actually, while they don't advertise it, Xnet seems to have a 'data only' fusion plan for $59.95 +data instead of $69.95 + data which has VoIP.

According to this (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=65&TopicId=18583) thread anyway..

No, you can have it without the VOIP bit.

There is another ISP (not Slingshot) too, one I hadn't heard of, but their prices were horrible compared to Xnet.

Interesting may give them a ring about it. Looks a bit pricey might enquire as to how much covers the twisted pair :)
