gum digger & Codex, have you tried login in via Web messenger: http://webmessenger.msn.com/ ?? & / or trying a different MSN messenger / Windows Live messenger clients?

Maybe give aMSN http://www.amsn-project.net/ a try & see if its works?

Other http://www.faqf1.net.nz/index.php?title=PF1_users%27_favourite_programs#Ch at MSN messenger / Windows Live messenger clients.

Hope this helps & Good luck :)

Thats not the program itself, its a virus/infection on your contacts end. I would suggest that you let them know and have their computers scanned, and yours too.

Yup I would say its something like Rinbot / Sdbot, which is a worm.

I would get your mates to scan with a virus scanner.

And scan your own computer. And MAKE SURE windows is up to date.

Thats what happens when you dont keep windows up to date, these worms exploit the vulnerabilities, that you haven't patched.

And if you've got any games installed, (that use cd keys), it's possible that this worm will steal them.

So if you play online and the key is banned, this could be why.

Have you scanned your pc?? It wont matter if youve updated.

If you havent scanned, it''ll still be there.

I'd use Windows Live messenger over MSN Messenger. The new version is quite snazzy.

Well whoever it is, tell them to update Windows at the same time.

That'll be why he / they got infected in the first place.

Being slack on keeping up to date
