Could someone give me the command required to correct this in Deb
4.0r2
sudo: /etc/sudoers is owned by uid 1000, should be 0

Run, as root:
# chown root:root /etc/sudoersWhat did you do to this file that you ended up owning it? It's the sudo permissions file.

I would rather not say,it was a bit silly I now realise.
