View Full Version : FF Tabs

Hi guys

I've askd this before and you guys told me how to but I can't find it. Here goes - I want to stack the open tabs next to each other on the tab bar. Currently, if I have more than 4 tabs open they tend to go into one tab and you find a list of all the tabs open. How do you change - I think it's something really stupid that I've overlooked.

Nothing to do with Firefox

Right click on you taskbar --> Properties and untick the "Group similar taskbar buttons"

For me (with WinXP Pro SP1) it goes:

Start / Settings / Taskbar and Start Menu. Uncheck "Group similar taskbar buttons".

[edit] Oops, Nigel's way is quicker.

My grumble is that FF doesn't squeeze all open tabs along the task bar. Instead it slides some out of sight if you have more than 10 open.

Opera on the other hand just scrunches the tabs up.

There is a FF workaround: the width of the tabs can be reduced so more fit in the bar.

I get 19 before the tab is hidden.

Obviously your at fault for having too small a screen.

Though I like the way it slides them out of sight rather then mashing them all onto the visible taskbar.

Yeah, I get 12 or 13 before they slide of and I happen to like it that way so atleast I can read the titles of each tab. If I have more and I want to see their contents, I just click on the arrow right at the end to see a list of all the open tabs.
