I have a particularly large webpage (i.e. larger than what will display on my screen), which I want to do a screenshot of and save as an image.

I have tried several Firefox plugins which claim to do it, however for some reason they'll only "scroll" in one direction when saving, rather than "scrolling" both down and across, to get the whole page - i.e. I'll get an image of the right width, but it hasn't scrolled down to get the entire page. The only program I've come across which does it is called IEScreenshotPro, which watermarks all the images.

Surely there must be a freeware or open-source product which will do this. Any ideas? I'd rather not do manual screen captures and stitch the images together on Photoshop or similar.

Try saving it as a pDF. Google 'PDFCreator', then click File>Print>PDFCreator>OK>Save>then in the Save as Type dropdownb box select your image type of choice, or save it as a PDF.

I tried Screengrab, and it'll only scroll left-right when capturing a page. Not too sure why, as I'm sure it wasn't intended that way.

not sure what you mean I've used it just as a test and it'll grab a whole page no problem at all.......

see here for an example:

Not too sure why it didn't work, but it just didn't. I ended up using zqwerty's plugin for FF - cheers.
