View Full Version : Router advice

I am looking to add an ADSL line at work. Up until now we have used a dedicated fiber line with a cisco firewall.

My question is.... What is a good ADSL router with similar security features to the cisco routers. Price is not an issue it is more about security. Are the $200 odd Linksys, D-Links good enough or are the Draytek models with "true firewalls" better. I am not so familiar in this area so any advice would be great.

Cheers in advance.

If price is an issue then you may want to consider setting up a Smoothwall box. All you need is an old PC and a basic ADSL modem, an old P1 is more than ample and the free one port modem you get from ISP generally suffice. A Smoothwall box will be far more configurable than any sub $500 ADSL router.
