I've bought new HDDs to replace my older 120GB HDD with Vista installed. For backups, my only choice is to burn data onto many DVDs or external HDD. However I don't have an external HDD, and I hate having to burn 80GBs worth of things.

So I want to keep my 120GB HDD intact with all its data, install Vista in my new HDD, and transfer everything from the old 120GB HDD into the new HDD.

The question is, can I access my password-protected Vista accounts of the old 120GB HDD from the new HDD?

Most probably something similar to this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421)

Another best solution is to ghost all your C: drive data and burn it in to CD or DVD.

Gosh that looks kinda complicated Speedy. I hate looking at an MS instructions page. :waughh:

Tama - I prefer to have a nice, clean install of everything - doesn't ghosting also copy all registries, all dislocated items, etc.....?
