I have an avi file with the sound offset by a few seconds. Any way of adjusting this please?

if you have Adobe Premier 7 or up. you can import it maybe with the right plugins depending on the AVI files codec. and then adjust the sound track slightly and then re encoding it. might make it crappier quality, but it will do what you want.

other option is to re-download, or re-rip

Pretty sure you can do this with VirtualDub.

Yep, virtualdub (http://www.virtualdub.org/) should do this, and slightly cheaper than Premier (VDub is free).

VideoHelp (http://www.videohelp.com/) probably has tutorials or previous forum posts on how to do such things.

Thanks for that.
I played the file from the start (using DivX Player) and the sound was fine. It was only when I jumped forward that the sound mismatched (never did this with other files) so it isn't a problem after all.
Still good to know how to deal with the problem.
