Me to even my 4mbps gets to 4.5mbps quite often as a download speed which is way better than telecom.

Is that the normal speed you get on cable? On BB now I average 4mbps down...

Yip it is and its instant when pages load as well cant wait until the end of the year when they launch there 25mbps plan thats coming.

That would depend on what you were wanting to send especially in the case of a large video file.

I hate speedtest.net and NZDSL as they are not accurate for measuring speeds of over 5MB it seems.

On my 10Mb cable I can ALWAYS get 9Mb+ and usually 10MB REAL LIFE downloading from a known fast source or multisource. While many of these speed test sites only show 5MB, every now and again they show an accurate reading. I believe it relies on there server load as to its accuracy or routing.

I hate seeing the media using these speed tests in articles and to draw conclusions is just plain.......pick a word.

Try worldnet .com telstraclear tell me this sight is far more accurate just click on either three buttons for you speed test.
