There's a lot of cheap computer cases around, made by a company called excel apparently.

I've been trying to get a website or something for extra specifications on these cases, but hav failed miserably.

Does anyone here know where I can find a website or anywhere else that has additional information on these? :(

Here is the home page for Excel cases. I got my feet resting on this one
Xcel Case (http://www.frontier.com.tw/htm/product/09a/SHINOBI.htm)
PS dont always believe the structure of the case with the picture, the One above has different HD arrangement than shown in the onsite design.

Or the whole range of cases Excel Range Of Cases (http://www.frontier.com.tw/htm/product/case.htm) They give full details, pictures the lot. P

Heres one they have - Good first thing for a Hang Over on Sunday Morning LOL
Not Good Fro Hang Over (http://www.frontier.com.tw/htm/product/09a/FI-RACING.htm)

Enjoy

Just another question, would you or anyone else know if http://www.frontier.com.tw/htm/product/18a/OPERA.htm can be purchased in NZ?

It looks much better than the http://www.frontier.com.tw/htm/product/17m/VENUS.htm which seems to be the only one available.

No doubt it would be cheaper than the aluminium ones from SST, Lian-Li etc...

Hmmmmm That OP18A is a nice looking case ( I think so any way:) ) I can check with the importers if its available, but someone may be able to confirm yes / No before I can reply.

Both the Black and Silver are avaiable.

The RRP is $85.00+gst for those cases

So is that $85 for the Venus or the better looking Opera?

I've seen the Venus in shops all around but nothing about the Opera, or doesn't anyone import them?

The price was for the Venus.
I have sent an email to the importers that I purchase excel cases from, asking if they import the Opera or if they know who does.

Hopefully they will answer tomorrow. When and if they do I'll post the reply.

Thats who I have written to ( post above) - What you see on the site is NOT every thing they have  You need their price list to get every thing, and thats not available to the general public - resellers only Thats where I got the RRP of $85.00 +gst from

Well I reckon it would be a good move for shops to sell them, I'm sure quite a few people wouldn't mind pretty decent looking HTPC cases that aren't as expensive as the $500 ones from antec etc

;) Trust me I have had that discussion with vendors MANY MANY times, Sometimes it appears that they wont get cases in unless they feel like it. But Hopefully I'll get a reply tomorrow regarding the other case you asked about.

They will give the wholesale pricelist out to just about anybody, Hell, They send it to people who don't want it.

Thats business then I spose.
But you try and get some suppliers to bring in items that their main suppliers from over seas have on their site - Thats a different story unless you order in bulk.
I know I have tried to get a certain case I wanted 30 of them_ not even interested unless I ordered at least 1000 ( not Protac, another supplier)

I also know MANY suppliers who wont give you any prices unless you are a business. But hey! thats life.

And so they shouldn't.

Im not surprised they refused to entertain your notion of getting specific items in they didn't carry.

thats called supply and demand, are you saying if the items are available and they wont get them in simply because they cant be bothered then they shouldn't. I bet you if I asked for a container load then they would jump at it.

FYI it was foxconn cases, and I actually contacted foxconn and their reply was quite simple- If the suppliers in NZ ordered them they would ship them, even if it was 1 case added to their usual order. The NZ supplier could have ordered them, they just couldn't be bothered. I have had a reply from foxconn stating they will be asking the NZ supplier WHY they wont place an order for items available.

Wholesalers deal in bulk, I wouldn't expect any devation from their main lines, especially for just a handful of items.

Sure, Nice if they will do that for you but I wouldn't expect it, Hell, half the wholesalers in NZ are knobends. Ive had some bizarre discussions with some.

If zcom are who you are refering to then that goes double.

    [Quote] half the wholesalers in NZ are knobends. Ive had some bizarre discussions with some.[End] Nice way of putting it.

No wasn't Zcom.

Didn't matter any way, I got other cases from another supplier that did the trick.

Agent_24 - As advised here is the responce from the importers ( protac)

[Quote] Not really on this model, we will try to get it in next time when we order
another container from them.[End]

So it looks like they will be available - just don't know when.

Would it be possible to estimate a time you think they might ship?

Answer From protac regarding the Case

I will pass your E-mail on to our head office in Sydney, MOQ on each case
model is 200 units.
But we will thinking to get that case in stock if possible.

All I can suggest is check backon Protac's site.
