:confused: HP photosmart 7760 printer no RED - new cartridge This is the second cartridge so thought it must be the printer problem. Using Office Solutions cartridge 57. Seems to be a red and yellow a problem Iíve done the maintanance protective cover seal off the cartridge? printhead clean etc etc
Any thoughts please.

Sorry don't understand. It was Office Solutions cartridge 'alternative cartridge for HP57" If it was a duff cartridge would be pretty unlucky to happen twice??

Is this a new printer that you have recently acquired? See if anything is jammed on the ink cartridge female port on the printer.

As you are aware you are using a refilled cartridge. Normally you are unlucky to get one bad one, to get two is very unlucky. The 57 is a TRI colour tank, and can be problematic when getting refilled. I would recommend, rather than going back and forth again is to buy (or borrow) an Original and try again. If still a problem then its your machine (keep originals in the machine when sending back for servicing-they don't like refills and jump at the chance to blame the refill-which logically can not cause a problem 99% of the time). Alternatively you may have a slight cross contamination which may be corrected after printing 3-6 test pages (unfortunately using up your ink). I hope this helps.
