Exactly that i want to be able to turn off all images on the pages i surf to, Similar to how opera does it,

It is doable in firefox, but i haven't done it since firefox was firebird, so help would be appreciated

Yes io know tools -> options -> content

but is there a way i can do it on a per page basis

you could try adblock add-on and just block everything on that site

Yeah But I like the way opera lets me click a button and all images vanish, or if i click it again they are all there again, it's really easy, i was sure there was an extension or way of doing it for FF, but blowed if i can find it

ahh check out what I found today!
http://www.uselessjunk.net/downloads/bookmarklets.html

I guess you could create a Bookmarklet which hides all images on your page
but..you still have to load the page first then hide the images
and once you hide it the only way to get it back is to refresh the page
