View Full Version : Scanning A4 page

I have a Benq 340U/640U scanner.
It never appears to scan any more than 280mm
instead of 297mm of a A4 document.
The bottom 15mm always missing.
Is this normal, I am using the inbuilt XP program
scanner and camera wizard.

See if its any better.

Check that the size is set to A4 in the program. it sounds like it is set to letter

The only program is Windows scanner and camera wizard which has no poption for page size.

Get Irfranview or a standalone program.

Irfranview is not a scanner program.

Irfranview is not a scanner program.

Yes it is. Go to File > Select TWAIN source and away you go (I think... it has been a long time since I last used Irfanview to scan items but I know it can be done).

what does the preview show? Have you selected the whole page?

The various programs that you could use to access the scanner should all be using the same drivers to talk to the scanner.

In the preview window I pulled the top and bottom bars as far up and down as they would go, it still would not show all the bottom.
The preveiw window is not very large.
