hiya all.. i need your expert help on this.

my page isn't a frameset, only a portion of it is.. lets say 2%.

when i go to validate my page with the iframe tag and contents still in it, it wont validate and the validator sez that other tags are farked up when they arent.

so i remove the iframe and bingo validated.

So i need that portion of the iframe on the page so was wondering if you could link the iframe tag to the page from css? or is there some other way to have it and it validate.

This is a portion of the code, that the iframe tag is situated.

<!--<div class="menutitle" onclick="SwitchMenu('sub1')" align="center">Tourney Calender</div>
<span class="submenu" id="sub1">

<b>Tourney Time:</b><br/>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://www.clocklink.com/embed.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">obj = new Object;obj.clockfile = "5007-red.swf";obj.TimeZone = "EST";obj.width = 220;obj.height = 22;obj.wmode = "transparent";showClock(obj);</script>
<br />
<iframe src="http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~mysstical_nz/angels_calender.html" height="400" width="200" frameborder="0" scrolling="yes"></iframe>
<br />-->

plus more for the subs and all closing tags at the end, before someone says its not closed...derrrrrrr...LOL

i so want a green tick...lol... i'm pullin ma hair out with dis....

all help is much appreciated.. smiles .. thank you

It looks as it is this page: http://www4.igl.net/cgi-bin/tourney/gencalendar.cgi?path=euchreangels has validation issues, starting with missing a doctype and heaps of tags out of place or missing.

Also change your code to this

<div class="menutitle" onclick="SwitchMenu('sub1')" align="center">
Tourney Calender</div>

<span class="submenu" id="sub1"><b>Tourney Time:</b><br />
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src=
</script> <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
obj = new Object;obj.clockfile = "5007-red.swf";obj.TimeZone = "EST";obj.width = 220;obj.height = 22;obj.wmode = "transparent";showClock(obj);
</script></span><br />
<iframe src=
height="400" width="200" frameborder="0" scrolling=
"yes"></iframe><br />

hi Rob,

thanks for that, it validated fine... however i had to change the nav menu (the span tag was the tag used to collapse the content between em).

Also found that if you close the end of the first <iframe yadablah /> that it to would validate, however what ever content was under it was a no show.

That other page wasn't the cause of it not validating it was the **iframe** tag stuck inside of the **span** tag.

I would love to get my hands on that other page and fix it, not sure how cos its php constructed.

Oh well.....

Once again ty for that Rob.. smiles
