Good afternoon!

As a sequel to my AOC 193FW 19" widescreen LCD monitor resolution problems (see http://pressf1.co.nz/showthread.php?t=76479), I have now decided to upgrade my “ultra crap” on board SiS graphics controller (as quoted by a fellow PressF1 member (http://pressf1.co.nz/showthread.php?p=522571#post522571)) to a better graphics card, albeit on a shoestring budget.

I am now deciding between a GeForce FX 5200 or a FX 5500 graphics card. Both comes with 128MB DDR graphics memory. And the price difference are only about $10 or so.

Which one should I go for? I have been searching on Google and apparently the FX 5500 is just a waste of money, as it is simply an overclocked version of the FX 5200.

Any comments would be much appreciated! Cheers.

Kind regards,
David
