Hi,

Does any one know of an application that will allow me to verify the content on a DVD I burnt myself?

I usually use the program that burns the CD's/DVD's to verify it's burn. Or else Nero Speed to check on disc's.

When you say Verify the content, do you mean:
Check and see that it conforms to XYZ DVD standard?
That the data has burned correctly to the DVD?

Microsoft have had a programme, fc (www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/fc.mspx?mfr=true). which compares files since the earliest MSDOS.

This will work only on file structured disks ... so I doubt if it would work on a DVD video disc.

It would also easy to use only if the source files are all in one directory, so you could use file description like "C:\path\to\my\files\*.* D:\*.*"

It would take a long time to check a DVD, and might give a lot of output (even with the "/a" option). :D

If there's a verify option in the writing utility, use that.
