View Full Version : Toshiba A100 Laptop loses its Fn + F5 capability when local profiles loaded

Ive got a new shipment of Toshiba A100's ive just connected onto domain (win server2003), all sweet until user tries to use the Fn + F5 keys to use a data projector or remote screen. If I log on as a user who has not been given any permissions locally but is a domain user then all works OK. If I log on as a domain user but also with local administrator rights (tried power user, etc, as well) then the function keys no longer operate.
We dont use roaming profiles. It feels like its a permission issue on a startup .dll or a reg key but I dont know what ones to look for.
any help would be appreciated, Toshiba Au had never heard of this one they said.

Kwaka, sounds like an interesting one that....when you say domain user with local admin rights, have you added domain users to the admin group?
I would think that this is policy issues?

Can the local administrator a/c use the function keys successfully?
